Pengajian Kejuruteraan Kimia
Kejuruteraan Kimia merupakan salah satu cabang disiplin kejuruteraan yang berkaitan dengan pemprosesan industri yang melibatkan pengubahan tenaga dan bahan kimia, biologi atau fizikal secara ekonomik kepada produk industri yang mampu memberi manfaat dan kebaikan kepada pengguna dengan mengambil kira terhadap kesan buruk kepada persekitaran, keselamatan atau sumber bahannya yang terhad.
UiTMCT Kampus Bukit Besi juga tidak ketinggalan dengan menawarkan Diploma Kejuruteraan Kimia. Program 6 semester ini merangkumi pengetahuan teknikal mendalam berkenaan reka bentuk, pengembangan, operasi, pelaksanaan dan penyelenggaraan peralatan kimianya yang digunakan dalam mengubah bahan mentah menjadi produk bernilai lebih tinggi.

DIPLOMA IN CHEMICAL ENGINEERING (CEEH110)
PROGRAMME AIMS
This programme aims to produce graduates based on the following programme educational objectives.
PROGRAMME EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVE (PEO)
Between three to five years of graduation, the programme will produce: | |
PEO1 | Graduates who are committed in sustainable development agenda and engaged in social responsibilities in the community. |
PEO2 | Graduates who are competent and progress in their career in chemical engineering and/or any related industries. |
PROGRAMME OUTCOMES (PO)
Upon completing the Diploma in Chemical Engineering, students should be able to: | |
PO1 | Apply knowledge of mathematics, science, engineering fundamentals and engineering specialisation to apply processes and methodologies to wide practical procedures and practices (DK1-DK4, DP). |
PO2 | Identify and analyse well-defined engineering problems reaching substantiated conclusions using codified methods of analysis specific to their field of activity (DK1 to DK4, DP). |
PO3 | Design solutions for well-defined chemical engineering technical problems, components or processes to meet specified needs with appropriate consideration for public health and safety, cultural, societal, and environmental considerations (DK5, DP). |
PO4 | Conduct investigations related to chemical engineering of well-defined problems; locate and search relevant codes and catalogues, conduct standard tests and measurements (DP). |
PO5 | Identify and apply appropriate techniques, resources, and modern engineering and IT tools to handle well-defined chemical engineering problems, with an awareness of the limitations (DK6, DP). |
PO6 | Demonstrate awareness of the societal, health, safety, legal and cultural issues and the consequent responsibilities relevant to engineering technologies practice and solutions to well defined chemical engineering problems (DK7, DP). |
PO7 | Understand and evaluate the sustainability and impact of engineering technician work in the solution of well-defined chemical engineering problems in societal and environmental contexts (DK7, DP). |
PO8 | Understand and commit to professional ethics and responsibilities and norms of technician practice (DK7). |
PO9 | Function effectively as an individual, and as a member or leader in diverse technical teams. |
PO10 | Communicate effectively on well-defined engineering activities with the engineering community and with society at large, by being able to comprehend the work of others, write effective reports and documentation, deliver effective presentations and give and receive clear instructions (NA). |
PO11 | Demonstrate awareness and understanding of management, business practices and entrepreneur competencies, as a member or leader in a technical team and to manage projects in multidisciplinary environments. |
PO12 | Recognise the need for, and have the ability to engage in independent and lifelong learning, updating in the context of specialised technical knowledge in related industries. |
