The Infostructure Unit began operations on January 1, 2008, concurrently with the opening of the UiTM Terengganu Branch Kuala Terengganu Campus.
Many changes to IT facilities have occurred on this site as part of the campus development process.
Currently, there are 13 computer laboratories, a Big Data Lab, and a Smart Classroom on campus. WiFi access is also available on campus and has increased over time.
The Infostructure Unit is comprised of 6 employees: Led by Senior Information Technology Officer, assisted by two Senior Assistant Information Technology Officers, two Assistant Information Technology Officers, and one Senior Computer Technician.

The Infostructure Unit's key functions are:
1. ICT Administration
2. Information System Operations.
3. ICT Operations.
4. ICT Infrastructure.
The Infostructure Unit is dedicated to improving the quality of IT services in order to create a campus that meets the needs and satisfaction of its customers, in line with UiTM's vision of becoming a world-class university through the implementation of an improved Quality Management System and the promotion of noble values and professional ethics.
1. 100% internet was successfully achieved by users in the campus area.
2. Ensuring ICT Complaints entered into the ICT Complaint System (unit.uitm.edu.my) are completed within three (3) working days (1st level maintenance).
3. 100% of ICT equipment (PdP) is in good condition and can be used before each semester begins.
